Nature's Best marketing strategy has been to
build long-lasting trade and consumer brand equity by marketing the highest
quality Sports Nutrition products and pricing them so as to offer genuine
consumer value. Ingredients, formulations, packaging and advertising are the
result of the highest standards of quality control in the industry, and provide
Nature's Best with a competitive advantage.
Nature's Best began operations in 1984. Initially, distribution developed
through gymnasium and health clubs. Our current product line fits into five (5)
categories: tablets and capsules, powdered drink mixes, sport beverages, vitamin
paks and energy bars.
In January of 1987, Nature's Best had its first major breakthrough. Carbo
Power was launched. Carbo Power is a 16oz high carbohydrate beverage designed to
enhance the energy levels of all athletes. This drink was a smashing success. It
was received well by weightlifters, bodybuilders, cyclists, runners, football
players etc.. University athletic programs such as UCLA, University of
Louisville, University of Alabama and many others began using Carbo Power with
great enthusiasm. Professional teams like the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills,
Green Bay Packers, Indianapolis Colts, New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins and
New York Knicks also began using Carbo Power regularly.
Since 1987 their Carbo Power business has expanded into Canada, Puerto Rico
and throughout Europe.
Midway through 1988, Nature's Best created it's "Perfect" concept. The
registered trademark of Perfect represents a group of products: tablets, candy,
beverages and powdered drink mixes containing Perfect protein (egg whites). This
marketing strategy began our second surge. Perfect enabled Nature's Best to
break into health food store distribution with a bang. General Nutrition Center
put in this product line, along with Carbo Power, into all of its 1100 stores
nationwide. Five (5) health food store distributors were also added to our
distribution network.
Nature's Best products are now distributed worldwide in over 10,000 outlets.
In 1993, a study conducted by GNC acknowledged Nature's Best as the second most
recognized sports nutrition brand in America.
Products are advertised monthly in Muscle & Fitness, Flex, Ironman,
Muscular Development and Muscle Media 2000.
Perfect Isopure, our newest and most exciting product was introduced in July
of 1998. Perfect Isopure is the first meal replacement/after workout supplement
to have 50 grams of Pure Ion Exchange Whey Protein Isolate. Our advertising
statement says, ``Finally, complete muscular nutrition. Isopure's protein is so
pure you can see right through it." It's true. All of the impurities such as fat
and lactose have been removed to give you the cleanest tasting, most refreshing
product of its kind. Perfect Isopure is the purest of all meal replacements.
